Why foreign e-Notary fails in Thailand
MFA Consular Department requires an original wet-ink signature and original seal from an NSA-registered Thai lawyer. Digital certificates issued by foreign RON providers carry no force in Thailand because Thailand has not signed the relevant cross-border digital trust agreements.
Mobile Notary — what is included
A Thai NSA travels to the client's location with stamps, ID, and standard forms. The lawyer verifies the signer's identity in person, witnesses the signature, and applies the notarial seal on the spot. Suitable for elderly clients, busy executives, or sealed corporate boardrooms.
Pricing model
Base notary fee (typically THB 500–1,500 per document) plus travel surcharge — THB 500 within the same district, THB 800–1,500 for cross-province travel, taxi and tolls billed at cost.
Limitations
Mobile Notary still requires physical presence; it does not solve the problem of clients abroad. For clients abroad, the cleanest route remains: client signs at the Thai embassy in their country, or the client appoints a Thai-resident agent via apostilled POA.
